In the second quarter of 2024, Bloom Public Health and UVU Bio embarked on a transformative partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a pivotal moment in enhancing vaccine production and equitable distribution across Africa. This collaboration stands to significantly strengthen public health infrastructure and improve health outcomes on the continent.
While in Cape Town yesterday, Professor Chimezie Anyakora, CEO of Bloom Public Health engaged with Dheepak Maharajh, CEO, UVU Bio to delve into the essential components of the MoU. This strategic alliance is not only a response to the pressing health needs of the region but also aligns with the African Union’s ambitious goal of producing 60% of the continent’s vaccine requirements by 2040.
The partnership promises to foster long-term public health improvements and drive economic growth, while ensuring sustainable access to safe, affordable, and quality-assured vaccines for all.
