Professor Chimezie Anyakora, the CEO of Bloom Public Health, is currently in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, for the highly anticipated African Medicines Manufacturing Trade Exhibition and Conference (AMMTEC2024). This ongoing event has brought together top-tier industry leaders from UNAIDS, Unitaid, African Union Development Agency-NEPAD, to mention a few, across Africa and beyond to shape the future of the pharmaceutical sector and create a powerful, globally competitive African pharmaceutical industry.
One of the key highlights of the conference was the electrifying roundtable discussion on “Accelerating Local Production of Medicines and Health Commodities through South-South Collaboration.” The session featured a distinguished panel of speakers, including our very own Professor Chimezie Anyakora, Adonis Bitegeko, Tanzania Medicines and Services Authority, and Tom Menge, Head of the Directorate of Health Products and Technology, Kenya Ministry of Health.
Bloom Public Health is thrilled to be part of these high-level discussions, driving impactful solutions and forging strategic partnerships to help shape a brighter, more resilient future for Africa’s pharmaceutical manufacturing landscape.
