On March 13, 2025, Bloom Public Health proudly joined the global community in commemorating World Kidney Day (WKD), reinforcing our commitment to preventive healthcare and health promotion for all.
As part of the celebration, we organized a medical outreach in Kpebi District, AMAC LGA, Abuja, aimed at raising awareness about kidney health. Community members were educated on the vital functions of the kidneys, preventive measures against kidney disease, and lifestyle habits essential for maintaining optimal renal health.
A key highlight of the outreach was the provision of free health screenings, including blood pressure checks, blood sugar tests, and body mass index (BMI) assessments. Individuals with elevated readings received personalized counseling to guide them toward better health management. This initiative directly impacted the community by promoting early detection and encouraging healthier lifestyles, ultimately contributing to the reduction of kidney disease risk factors.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the District Head of Kpebi, Hakimin Kpebi, Umanyi Samuel Gbechelo, for his invaluable #support in facilitating this outreach. We also appreciate the dedication of our team members—Nancy Oragwu, Williams Felix, Adokiye Mokwenye, Uchunwa Victory, Ibegbu Mmesoma, Mella Ojiako, and the entire Bloom Public Health team—whose efforts made this event a success.
At Bloom Public Health, we remain steadfast in our mission to improve public health outcomes. By equipping communities with the right knowledge and access to essential healthcare services, we continue to drive positive behavioral change and foster a healthier future for all.
