Project Overview

Bloom Public Health conducted a comprehensive technical audit of laboratory personnel and equipment across SON laboratory facilities to assess workforce capacity, equipment functionality, and operational efficiency. The assignment aimed to establish a baseline for future assessments, identify staffing and competency gaps, evaluate laboratory equipment status, and provide recommendations to improve laboratory performance and service quality.

The following key activities were carried out:

  1. Assessed the capacity, competence, and proficiency of technical laboratory staff.
  2. Evaluated staffing levels and identified workforce gaps across laboratory units.
  3. Conducted an inventory and verification of laboratory equipment.
  4. Assessed equipment functionality, utilization, and maintenance status.
  5. Identified technical training and capacity-building needs for laboratory personnel.
  6. Provided recommendations to enhance laboratory operations and quality service delivery.
