Project Summary

The Anambra State Laboratory Optimization Project (ASLOP) is a strategic health systems strengthening initiative designed to improve the quality, accessibility, and efficiency of diagnostic services across selected General Hospitals in Anambra State, Nigeria. Through a partnership between Bloom Public Health, the Anambra State Government, Erba Mannheim, and Worldwide Commercial Ventures Limited, the project seeks to modernize laboratory services by equipping facilities with state-of-the-art Chemistry, Hematology, and Urinalysis analyzers. The initiative aims to enhance diagnostic accuracy, reduce turnaround times, expand access to affordable laboratory testing, and strengthen evidence-based clinical decision-making. ASLOP is designed as a sustainable laboratory optimization model that can be scaled across the state and replicated in other regions to support broader healthcare system improvements.
