October 8, 2026On 5 October, Bloom Public Health officially kicked off its technical support to the Zambia Medicines Regulatory Authority (ZAMRA) as it works toward WHO Global Benchmarking Tool (GBT) Maturity Level 3.

Maturity Level 3 shows that a regulator’s systems are stable, well run and working as they should. It’s a milestone that strengthens public trust in the #medicines available to people.

Our first engagement with Zambia Medicines Regulatory Authority (ZAMRA)’s leadership and technical teams was practical and focused. Together, we agreed how we will work alongside ZAMRA’s functional teams to strengthen the evidence behind their improvement plans, while keeping the authority’s day-to-day regulatory work on track.

We are honoured to walk alongside Zambia Medicines Regulatory Authority (ZAMRA) as it strengthens its systems. We look forward to sharing updates as the work progresses.
