Bloom Public Health and Armauer Hansen Research Institute Partner to Advance Public Health Research in Ethiopia
June 30, 2026Our Geneva Office joined global health leaders at the 79th World Health Assembly in Geneva, which is the World Health Organization’s largest annual health policy gathering, holding from 18–23 May 2026 at the Palais des Nations. The Bloom delegation was led by Mrs. Joana Brown, Board Chair of Bloom Public Health Geneva, alongside our Chief Executive Officer, Professor Chimezie Anyakora, and Board Member Dr. Chichi Ilonze.

This year’s Assembly brought ministers, United Nations agencies, non-governmental organizations, donors, and innovators together to tackle urgent priorities: pandemic preparedness, climate and health, Universal Health Coverage, antimicrobial resistance, digital health and artificial intelligence, vaccine equity, and strengthening health systems in low and middle-income countries.
Bloom Public Health made significant inputs to side event discussions on domestic financing for public health, future of medicine supply chains and why local manufacturing is a key driver for resilient access to quality-assured medicines, strengthening innovation initiatives, as well as strengthened its partnerships. The event reinforced that collaboration is how we turn policy into impact.
