Bloom Public Health at the 79th World Health Assembly in Geneva

Safe water is a right, not a privilege. SafeStart Initiative is working with Bloom Public Health and other stakeholders to make water accessible in every home. On July 15, 2026, we participated in the SafeStart Stakeholder Workshop in Kano.
The workshop brought together government, development partners, and health organizations to discuss scaling the Community-Based Chlorine Access (CBCA) model across Kano State. Focus areas included:
•Evidence from previous CBCA work in Kano and its impact on reducing cholera and waterborne diseases
• Implementation experiences and community perspectives
• Roles, responsibilities, and collaboration with MDAs to ensure sustainable delivery of safe drinking water
• Plans for scale-up to protect more women and children
