Bloom Public Health and Partners Sign MoU to Strengthen Laboratory Services in Niger State

On 27 October 2026, Bloom Public Health, Sydani Group, Erba Mannheim, and the Niger State Ministry of Health Public Health Department signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to begin a laboratory optimization project in the state. This is an important step for laboratory services in Niger State.

Bloom Public Health was represented by our Chief Executive Officer, Professor Chimezie Anyakora, alongside Williams Felix, Manager, Special Projects, and Adokiye Mokwenye, Program Coordinator.

The project aims to strengthen laboratory systems, improve the quality and reliability of diagnostic services, and support better health outcomes for people across Niger State.

Bloom Public Health, Sydani Group, and Erba Mannheim bring valuable experience to this partnership. The three organizations are currently implementing the Anambra State Laboratory Optimization Project (ASLOP) in Anambra State, in partnership with the Anambra State Ministry of Health and Worldwide Healthcare. ASLOP is focused on upgrading public laboratory infrastructure, improving diagnostic quality, and building community trust through initiatives such as the recent free Community Health Screening Week for HIV, Hepatitis B & C, hypertension, and diabetes across five LGAs.
