Bloom Public Health Botswana Strengthens Regional Engagement in Pharmaceutical Innovation

The establishment of Bloom Public Health’s Yaoundé office reinforces the organization’s commitment to strengthening health systems and advancing pharmaceutical and regulatory excellence across Central Africa.
The establishment of Bloom Public Health’s office in Yaoundé, Cameroon, marked a significant milestone in the organization’s continued expansion across Africa. The regional office serves as a strategic hub for delivering technical assistance, strengthening institutional capacity, and supporting national efforts to improve public health systems and regulatory excellence.
Working closely with the Ministry of Public Health, Bloom Public Health Cameroon is supporting key national priorities, including capacity building, medicines regulatory systems strengthening, post-marketing surveillance, and broader pharmaceutical quality initiatives. The office reflects Bloom’s long-term commitment to providing locally driven, technically robust solutions that respond to the evolving healthcare needs of African countries.
One of the office’s earliest achievements was the successful delivery of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) training for entry-level pharmaceutical inspectors within the Ministry of Public Health. The programme strengthened the technical capacity of regulatory personnel responsible for ensuring that medicines manufactured, imported, and distributed within Cameroon meet internationally recognized quality and safety standards.
This milestone was made possible through close collaboration with the National Drug Quality Control and Valuation Laboratory (LANACOME), whose partnership has been instrumental in advancing regulatory capacity and pharmaceutical quality assurance within the country.
As Bloom Public Health continues to deepen its presence in Cameroon, the organization remains committed to supporting national institutions through technical expertise, strategic partnerships, and sustainable capacity development initiatives that strengthen health systems and improve access to quality healthcare across Africa.
